Oblong, 13 x 8cm, c.67ff (2ff detached), c.60 pencil & one watercolour illustrations. Original black roan with pencil (pencil wanting) & notes holder, upper internal hinge split, lacking lower endpaper, text block held by cloth stay.
A well executed pencil sketchbook of English pastoral scenes of houses, churches, woodland and fields mainly in Gomshall, Surrey; Harrow, Middlesex, Acton and Guildford. There some sixty illustrations of which fifteen are complete pencil images, the same number part complete and around thirty line outline illustrations. A good copy.
